Therapists are legally and ethically required to protect your privacy. Information shared in therapy is not disclosed to anyone without your consent, with a few exceptions, such as if you’re at risk of harming yourself or others or if there is suspicion of child or elder abuse. Your therapist will discuss the limits of confidentiality with you during your first session to ensure you understand the boundaries.
Yes! Our therapists offer online counseling or telehealth services, which allow you to attend therapy sessions from the comfort of your home via video or phone. This can be a great option if you have a busy schedule and prefer to meet virtually or live in a remote area. Ask your therapist if they offer telehealth and discuss any technical requirements or considerations.
If your child is struggling with emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges—such as anxiety, depression, trauma, difficulties at school, or social problems—therapy can be very beneficial. A therapist can help your child learn coping skills, express their feelings in a safe space, and develop healthier patterns of thinking and behavior. It’s always a good idea to consult a child therapist or pediatrician if you’re unsure whether therapy is right for your child.
