About the Therapist

Maya is a Licensed Clinical Social worker with degrees in Psychology and Human & Family Development and a Master of Social Work. She is a queer and neurodivergent therapist. She works with mainly teens and adults. She specializes in working with individuals with trauma histories, neurodivergent individuals, and LGBT+ individuals. She has worked with community resources and nonprofit organizations that serve individuals with trauma, as well in local high schools. She has worked with individuals experiencing ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other co-occurring disorders. Maya utilizes a client- and environment- focused approach which allows her to center the client and their world, acknowledging that no one lives in a vacuum. This allows her to incorporate the client’s community into their treatment, utilizing all the client’s resources and strengths. She believes that compassion and collaboration are essential to therapy. Outside of therapy Maya enjoys painting, hiking, and spending quality time with her family and her cats Eri and Hana.
